Chip is a Shareholder in the firm’s Government Solutions Practice Group.
As a former management level in-house attorney for a large government contractor and international commercial enterprise, Chip brings an informed business perspective to providing cost-effective and value-added solutions. His in-house experience entailed providing legal guidance and support to the contracting, procurement, security, human resource, engineering, and construction functions of a complex commercial enterprise and government contractor. In addition to working as an in-house attorney, he has worked extensively as outside litigation counsel representing publicly traded and privately held entities in government contract claims, business torts, construction, design & engineering, labor & employment, general liability, intellectual property, and both general and complex commercial disputes. He has performed numerous internal investigations in the areas of employment and regulatory compliance, as well as inquiries made by inspector general offices and the Department of Justice. He has worked extensively with clients in the nuclear industry (entities supervised or regulated by the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, and Nuclear Regulatory Commission) and the energy sector, as well as general construction and commercial entities with multiple business lines.
Chip received his J.D. cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law, and he holds a B.A. in History from Augusta University.
