Overview

M.V. practices in the firm’s Trusts, Estates, Fiduciaries & Family Business practice group, where he focuses on assisting clients with personal estate and wealth preservation planning, business succession planning, family business and family office services, day-to-day general counsel services, entity formations and ongoing governance issues. M.V. is passionate about helping family and closely-held businesses and their owners, as well as other high net-worth individuals and families, plan for and achieve their legal objectives.

M.V. graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from Auburn University with a B.S. in Economics and a minor in Spanish. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a scholarship recipient and the articles editor of the Virginia Law & Business Review. Prior to attending law school, M.V. served for three years on the Washington, D.C. personal office and appropriations committee staff of the Honorable Richard C. Shelby, senior United States Senator for Alabama.
