Mike’s Profile

In memory, 1951 – 2018.

Mike’s practice focuses on the special representation of physician practices and other health care providers in more than 30 states, and the establishment of new ventures between physician groups and hospitals. Most recently, he has directed ground-breaking developments in physician-hospital integration models, physician management of hospital product lines, and gain-sharing programs. In addition, he serves as General Counsel for three cardiology-related specialty organizations that provide educational, business and advocacy services to more than 300 cardiovascular practices.

Mike also has a large practice in regulatory and administrative law issues such as Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement (including fraud-and-abuse, Stark issues, and corporate compliance programs), medical staff issues, and related matters. In addition, he occasionally serves as a Hearing Officer for hospital medical staff appeals and is trained as a mediator.
